Traffic Cameras And Your Local Weather

If there is one thing that makes me nervous, it’s my wife heading out for the day as she goes to school of a morning to Portland, OR. Being that I work from home myself, I have remained safe from the madness that is Vancouver to Portland morning traffic.

To make this even more frightening, toss in shaky weather conditions and you could have a recipe for disaster. You know the type, rain, sleet, snow, whatever. Thankfully, as you can see from this screen shot, the weather has been kind over the past couple of days, despite a nasty wind storm shortly before this.

A wind storm may not seem like a big deal, but when I did some checking with those traffic cams, it was immediately apparent that traffic was substantially slowed by the wind gusts.
