WeatherBug for Mac - Setting the default browser

I have gotten a couple emails lately from cusomters that are using our “Mac Lite” application that puts the temperature in your toolbar, and provides a launching pad for our web site.
The complaint is that when they click to go to our web site, all that shows is a big blue empty screen.
The reason for this is that we have added some HTML code to our latest verison of the web site which causes it to not render properly in the old school IE5 browser. In fact, Microsoft has stopped supporting this browser on Mac, so it is a good idea for anyone that is using IE 5 on a Mac to start moving over to either Safari or Firefox on their Mac.
Here are some basic steps to changing your default browser on a Mac…
1) Run Safari browser
2) From the “Safari” menu, select “Preferences” (Apple Key-comma)
3) Select the tab at the top labeled “General”
4) The first item at the top says: “Default Web Browser” Hopefully this is showing IE5 right now…or Internet Explorer
5) Change this to be Safari (that’s what I recommend) or Firefox.
6) Close the preferences tab
7) Go to WeatherBug and click on the temperature and select the forecast menu…Safari or Firefox should be used as your default browser.
Hope that works.
