A few months ago I discovered a social networking site called Weblo.com, and the concept can be described as Monopoly on steroids.

I don’t know what the future holds for this site, but I did join it and tried to set up something. Weblo.com was founded by Rocky Mirza and Colin Trethewey, who was, I think, the chairman of MySpace at one point. At this site you can buy virtual cities, states, properties, and domain names. You also get a free celebrity fan site when you register.

You make money when people visit your assets… also kind of like in eBay where you can put your assets on auction. Recently someone sold England for 60 thousand, I think… California state sold for 53 thousand. Anyway, here is a link to my profile there. Or just click on the image below:
