iPhone and iPod Touch Update 2.0.1 Released

Today Apple posted the much anticipated 2.0.1 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch. While this update doesn’t and new features like the 2.0 firmware this update features several bug fixes and improves the general stability of the software.

I can say that from my 30+ minutes with the new firmware things are now a lot smoother. Random app crashing that plagued 2.0 seems to be gone and the keyboard lag is also better. Another fix is with iPhoto. Before when connecting the iPhone/iPod Touch to a Mac iPhoto would not show thumbnails of the pictures but now it seems to be working fine.

Updates been good I posted this about thirty minutes ago though with not as much detail I just wrote it was available for the iPhone and it has bug fixes

Yeah I saw that, but I got a lot of outside traffic.

Not everyone visits the main Lockergnome page, which is a shame by the way.

I have an unlocked 2G iPhone, previously unlocked and jailbreaked with winpwn. I’d like to report that if you update to 2.0.1 via iTunes, the phone remains unlocked but you lose the jailbreak.
Great update anyways, the slow keyboard was driving me nuts!
