Have you had enough of PhoneSaber yet? Do you really want to show off your real Jedi skills on the iPhone? Star Wars: The Force Unleashed well let you do just that later this year. Created by THQ this game is based on the upcoming PSP and Nintendo DS games with the same name.

For starters this game is an action game to its core. You are fighting Sith after Sith with your lightsaber in what looks to be a lot of fun. The controls in the game are all touch based. As enemies or puzzles appear you have to make a certain shape with your finger to do a move.  As you can tell by the video below the game looks completely stunning for a mobile phone game. The sad part is that it looks a little worse then its PSP and DS competitor  One of the cooler features of the graphics is that when you tilt the iPhone the game changes from landscape to portrait, it looks sweet in action. The sound is also crisp and has that great Star Wars feel to it, now you have John Williams in your pocket.

After seeing roughly eight minutes of game it is clear that this will be one of the bigger games to launch on the iPhone. Being slated for a Fall release this game could be a huge help for Apple in trying to compete with the PSP and Nintendo DS. The game to me looks like it could get repetitive though, there should be an RPG element in the game where you can learn new moves to do as the game progress, making the gameplay something new and refreshing. I think the Star Wars  game they should of ported to the iPhone was Knights of the Old Republic, but I guess that’s asking for too much. Look for this game later in the year.
