EA Bringing Wolfenstein RPG to iPhone

One of the few headliners from E3 2008 for mobile gaming has been Wolfenstein RPG. A new twist in the classic gaming series that is turning one of the most beloved shooters into a full on RPG experience. The game was announced for mobile devices but no word was out whether that meant the iPhone was included as well.

IGN is reporting that John Carmack, creator of id, has confirmed that the game will be released on the iPhone. Slated for a November release Wolfenstein becomes one of the many big name franchises to grace the iPhone from EA. It also states in the article that no demos of the game were present, so at this time we have no information on what to expect from this game.

This is big news for the iPhone gamers out there. This represents another big name title coming to the young platform. So far within the first year games like Crash Bandicoot, Spore, Super Monkey Ball, have all been released or announced. This is a good start for the device and with those great indie game companies pushing quality title after quality title out for the iPhone it should mean that it could compete with the DS and PSP this Christmas, or at the very least the N-Gage(do they even make that?)
