VoodooPC, makers of the high-end gaming PCs, has released a new gaming notebook, the ENVY u:734, to users worldwide.

The u:734 features a 17” display with 1900×1200 resolution, Intel Core Duo microprocessor (your choice of T2400, T2500 and T2600), 2GB of DDR2 memory, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics adapter, an 8x DVD Writer and up to 160GB of hard drive space. In addition, the u:734 is also packed with a 4-in-1 media reader, GbE, 802.11a/b/g wireless standards, Bluetooth capability and an integrated webcam.

Unfortunately, VoodooPC’s new notebook weighs ~8.4lbs. While the weight is discouraging, it’s important to note that many desktop replacement notebooks weigh considerably more than ~8.4lbs. When you look at it this way, ENVY u:734 may very well be one of the lightest desktop replacement notebooks on the market.
