MSI S271 Notebook

Perhaps it’s just me, but I am simply not too excited about the prospect of owning a Micro-Star notebook. While they make semi-decent motherboards, I am just not too sure that I am ready to sink in real cash for a notebook that I believe to be largely unproven.
Another new notebook to debut very soon is the Micro-Star International MSI S271. However this is not your regular notebook as the S271 incorporates the AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and an ATI chipset. The notebook has a high definition 12.1-inch TFT WXGA (1280×800) which in conjunction with the ATI RS485M integrated chipset results in superior display and graphical performance. There is a Super Multi DVD Drive and the standard model comes with 256 MB of RAM which can be expanded to a mammoth 2GB. The onboard 80GB Hard Drive is expandable to 200 GB and MSI has also thrown in a 4-in-1 memory card reader. The S271 packs quite a punch and weighs just around 1.9 Kgs. The notebook carries a price tag of US$1,498 and should be available very soon. Source: MobileWhack
