Ideazon Strikes Back with the MERC Gaming Keyboard

Now that is one crazy looking keyboard! Yes, the MERC is probably not for everone out there. It is however, the perfect keyboard for those needing a gamer’s edge.

Ideazon made a big splash in the gaming community when it released the Zboard, a keyboard that allowed users to insert custom key sets for use with popular game titles. This was great for gamers who couldn’t stand playing their favorite games on a regular keyboard, but it was also an inconvenience because you had to remove and install a different key set when you wanted to play another game, or just to type.

This time around, Ideazon decided to ditch these key set plates and build a “hybrid” keyboard with an integrated gaming area. The MERC is very much like the Wolf Claw Type II Keyboard, in that it contains a normal keyboard area for typing and an added cluster of WASD-friendly gaming keys on the left. The USB keyboard has 34 gaming keys—including 3 thumb keys and 11 weapon-specific keys—all of which are labeled and arranged to surround your hand for easy access. Source: ExtremeTech
