A company that I myself, have never had issues with, has been creating issues of their own with customers from all over. The BBB has alleged that the biggest collective issue is the sheer number of unanswered complaints. Then again, does anyone really believe that the BBB has any teeth left any more?
The information in this report has either been provided by the company, or has been compiled by the Bureau from other sources.
Nature of Business
The company offers computers, computer equipment and other electronics via mail order catalog, website and shopping service with infomercials.
Customer Experience
Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of unanswered complaints.
Specifically our files show a pattern of complaints alleging dissatisfaction with product quality, failure to deliver promised goods, service issues, misrepresentation in advertising and marketing practices and the failure to address and overcome the basic cause of complaints brought to their attention by the Better Business Bureau.
Complaints allege customers are led to believe they are buying new, Brand Name computer systems, parts and other products with either a 90-day, or 1 year warranty. Complainants allege they are receiving generic, defective and refurbished items and only a 30-day warranty with the option to purchase the 1-year warranty. Customers who purchase the warranty also experience difficulty in getting return phone calls to get the problems fixed or replaced. Customer are told they may return the items for replacement, but they will need to pay again for the replacement and will credited back when the item is returned and received by the company. Tiger Direct is the epitome of a company that rips off consumers and flaunts its overt nonresponsiveness to consumer concerns on the products they sell, the exorbitant shipping costs, and general carelessness. The shipping charges are through the roof. I tried to arrange shipping on my own account. Noone there was willing to give me the pickup location for the packages. I called, e-mailed, and faxed. Concerns are intentionally ignored. Wasted too much time on this company that does not care. Seems like they hire only certified high school dropouts. With the exception of one person, all the customer service people were a combination of rude, careless, and incompetent. Absolutely do not buy anything from this company. I have already filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau located in the Miami area. You should do so as well. Do not buy anything from this company.

Not to mention they give your credit card out to 3rd party vendors, then the next thing you know you’re card is being charged for something you never agreed to.
