Foxconn motherboard shipments reach 40 million units in 2005

Believe it or not, Foxconn is not a board manufacturer that I am familiar with. That fact aside, my lack of knowledge as to their existence certainly did not stop them from reaching 40 million units shipped!
Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) is estimated to have shipped 40 million motherboards in 2005, rising from 30 million units in 2004, market sources suggested. The Taiwan-based company has raised its competitiveness against first-tier motherboard makers Asustek Computer, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI), the sources indicated.
