So basically, this drive does a better job at writing to media? Alright, then perhaps it’s worth a close look based on this concept of ‘SolidBurn’.
Today we are pleased to announce the completion of our Philips DVDR1648 review written by Jan70. This internal IDE drive supports 16x DVD±R, 8x/6x DVD+RW/DVD-RW and 8x/4x DVD+R DL/DVD-R DL writing. We can see quickly, by observing the following screen shot, that Philips has opted for a bit of a different look for this piece of hardware and we have to wonder if they have made any changes other than cosmetic.
