Wireless News: Company says it has the solution for Wi-Fi interference

Oh this is cool. Interference from other devices can really put a black cloud over your WiFi network. Looks like one company has decided to do something about it and perhaps even get paid in the process.

“Future generation” wireless networking solutions company Rotani earlier this week announced the release of WLAN technology that it says makes any 802.11 WLAN “interference-resistant”.

Rotani’s AirReferee is a turnkey OEM access point reference design that the company says provides the “uninterrupted throughput needed for multiple video streams, online gaming, VoIP and other latency and throughput-sensitive applications”. The AirReferee AP combines two standard “off-the-shelf” 802.11 radios with Rotani’s patent-pending antenna architecture where each radio is attached to one or more directional antennas.
