Has the Alkaline battery finally come to the end of its life span? From the looks of this latest battery technology, I think it is certainly possible.
The Alkaline battery was invented in 1959 and has powered a generation since. No new leaps in battery technology have been able to improve upon the tried and true standard. Panasonic hopes to change that by introducing the Oxyride battery to market in the US.
Oxyrides are powerful, durable, and disposable. Under current testing, Oxyride batteries last twice as long as Alkaline batteries, and are produced for about the same price. [Read the rest]
