AHHHHHHHH! God, just make up your minds, would ya? Anyway, it looks like they are back on the same playing field again. I wonder what next week will look like?
The president of Toshiba has insisted that there will be a single, unified standard for high-definition DVDs, despite the failure of recent talks between representatives of the two rival formats.
However Tadashi Okamura told Japanese business leader said that he expects both HD-DVD and Blu-ray products to be on the shelf before an agreement can be reached.
‘We may actually have a situation where merchandise from both sides is put on store shelves. But the market would not allow that situation to last very long,’ he said. [Read the rest]
