I love the hype going around about gaming consoles. It just kills me. Whether it be Sony or Microsoft, the rumors just continue flying. Well, some of the most popular console models for the ‘next Xbox’ were featured by Gamespot. Nice round up!

In preparation for Microsoft’s May 12th MTV unveiling of the next-generation Xbox, Gamespot has a nice round-up of the known and rumored details of upcoming console systems from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. For those of us who’ve been following the next-gen console wars closely, little in the article will come as news. But it’s a good consumer-level wrap-up of what’s known so far.

The main drawback to the article is that it’s really light on technical details. That’s partially by necessity, though, because little is known about the Xbox 360 and even less is known about the Nintendo Revolution. I’m taking it upon myself to remedy part of that situation, as I’m currently working on an article that pulls together what is known of the technical details of the Xbox 360. If anyone out there has any info they’d like to send me, be sure to either drop me an email or post a link in the discussion thread attached to this post.
