Apple updates Power Mac G5, eMac SuperDrive firmware

All and all, I feel that firmware upgrades are generally a good thing. If this is correct, then I guess you might say that there are a number of good things in store for Apple users in the form of some firmware updates.

Apple on Wednesday released a SuperDrive firmware update to some Power Mac G5 systems (made from June 2004 to late 2004, according to Apple) and eMac systems equipped with SuperDrives and USB 2.0. The update delivers improved reliability when accessing DVD and CD media, according the release note. [Get the links]
