A PC gaming notebook, OK. This I can handle from someone like Alienware. But to hear that they are teaming up with Kyocera Wireless to develop a really inovative gaming mobile phone? Well, I just hope it can outshine the NGage.
Alienware, the leading manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook, media center and professional computing systems, announced an agreement with Kyocera Wireless Corp. to co-develop advanced gaming accessories for mobile phones. Alienware and Kyocera Wireless will reveal their first collaborative product during CTIA Wireless 2005, a wireless convention and exposition in New Orleans, Louisianafrom March 14-16, 2005.
Alienware, already the established leader in offering powerful and convenient gaming solutions on everything from computer desktops and notebooks to digital home entertainment systems, is now extending its gaming expertise to the mobile phone market. Alienware’s agreement with Kyocera Wireless will provide a console-like gaming experience on Kyocera’s innovative CDMA wireless phones for the rapidly increasing number of mobile phone gaming enthusiasts.
“Alienware is excited to team with Kyocera Wireless and secure a foothold in the wireless phone gaming arena with a company who shares our commitment to deliver the very latest technological innovations to customers,” said Frances Alvarez, director of licensing for Alienware. “Any gamer will tell you that an enjoyable gaming experience depends heavily on the quality and usability of the hardware provided by a company like Alienware, and we look forward to working with Kyocera to take cell phone gaming to another level.”
