SMC Ships Broadband Router

It looks like SMC is shipping their broadband router out to the waiting arms of the public. Part of a complete line of products, their new router has all of the latest options you would expect and perhaps, just a little bit more as well.

Irvine-based SMC has shipped the newest in its line of wireless cable/DSL Broadband Routers. The new EZ Connect Wireless Broadband Router is targeted at the home or small office market, and offers low cost connectivity to 802.11g, four 10/100 Ethernet ports, and a dedicated 10/100 port for cable or DSL. The company said that the new product can support up to 253 simultaneous users and includes built-in Ethernet switching, firewall, VPN control, and parental controls. The router also includes a built in NAT and DNS support to allow for easily connecting computers onto the network.
