This is going to be a short mention, but it gives all us a huge resource. It’s a master-level article on the history of PC CPU’s from about 1994 to the present day, along with a BIG chart showing every CPU and it’s specs. It comes to 111 chips and covers all their individual differences.
I can’t say it enough- this is a set of articles (2, actually) that covers a lot of information and is not available anywhere else, as far as I know. Then they went a step further and threw in 3330 benchmarks on all those CPU’s.
