Memorex is no fool. Rather than trying to manufacture something like a line of USB drives from scratch, it makes a lot more sense to work out a distribution deal with a company that already has a bulletproof history of quality hardware.
From what solcalTECH is saying, M-Systems is just such a company. With both companies working together with Memorex’s marketing muscle and M-Systems hardware, success with their new line of USB drives is sure to be had.
Cerritos-based media products company Memorex and M-Systems announced today that the two companies have partnered to provide USB flash drive storage systems to the consumer marketplace. Memorex will brand M-Systems flash USB flash drives as their own, adding to the company’s line of storage products. Memorex markets a line of product ranging from CD-Rs to DVD recorders. The company is already marketing USB flash drives in capacities from 128MB to 2GB; this deal gives the company access to M-Systems award winning line of products.
