Hardware review of T-Mobile MDA III

Wow, these are some harsh words. Having not actually read the review that MSMobiles is referring to, I cannot really give my opinion of this whole matter. What matter am I talking about? The review of the T-Mobile MDA III.

Apparently there are some concerns that the review was completely fake and the photos were actually pulled from the manufacturer’s Web site.

Jorgen Sundgot has been just invited to Möbius 2004 USA conference, but his writings are pitiful and his “reviews” are fakes - he uses 1 or 2 photos stolen from the website of the vendor (or operator) and adds some text that can easily be found elsewhere on the Internet. He uses no photos of his own and his writings contain no links to places where you can further research given product (remember: only we give you the whole story - including links and unofficial information)! If that all would be not enough his reviews are amateurish and superficial, for example he writes:

The only area in which the MDA III doesn’t keep up with the latest and greatest is processor speed. Despite utilizing a 400 MHz processor rather than the 520 and 624 MHz varieties which are now finding their way into high-end Pocket PCs

… while he doesn’t mention that not processor speed but processor generation is what matters the most: MDA III is powered by PXA263 and contemporary generation, used also in Treo 650 (albeit with 312 MHz), is PXA270. So not the processor speed but processor generation is old and outmoded.
