Forget about those snack chips, how about a copy of your favorite DVD from the vending machine! Ya know, I think I just heard Blockbluster swallow really hard. I looked closely at this and must admit, this has potential.
If you can offer something like this in the right area, there is some pretty decent money that could be made here. Now here is the tough question. What happens if there is a system crash or hardware needs to be replaced? It appears that they are very much willing to supply you both with repair service and tech help when needed. Very cool. If I had the money to drop on one of these, I’d be interested. ;o)
ELO Media LLC., a leading provider of DVMatic, an Automated DVD Rental Machine, announced the launching of DVD rental machines on Texas military bases. Currently operating in Price Chopper Supermarkets and other convenience stores, these innovative vending machines are an ideal substitute to the traditional video stores movie lovers are used to renting their movies from. Due to its low overhead and operating costs, DVmatic offers around-the-clock service at lower rates than the average video store.
These DVD Vending machines will be installed and serviced by MovieVend Inc., at the Exchange Service at Carswell Air Force base and at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Scott Lewis, president of MovieVend Inc., expects these machines to be extremely profitable at these locations. “This is the first time these types of machines are used on military bases and I look forward to providing this service to residents of these bases. No longer will soldiers or their families have to travel off the base to rent and purchase their favorite movies.”
