DeviceLock for Windows NT/2000/XP v5.62

DeviceLock for Windows? That sounds a lot like software! What could this possibly have to do with hardware? Actually it has quite a bit to do with it. The software allows the admin to decide what drives, ports, and other devices the user is authorized to use.

It is actually a pretty good idea if you think about it. No more stealing data when the boss is out of the office, allowing a PC to retain the use of specific drives for some users, but not for others. It is about handing the office back to the powers that be, not the workstation user.

DeviceLock gives network administrators control over which users can access what devices (ports, floppies, Magneto-Optical disks, etc.) on a local computer. Once DeviceLock is installed, administrators can assign permissions to LPT ports, CD-ROMs, COM ports or any other device, just as they would to share-permissions on a hard disk. Network administrators can use DeviceLock to flush a storage device’s buffers (very useful for removable media) and to get extended information about devices and NTFS partitions. Remote control is also available.
