Digital picture frames

Gizmodo reports that Ceiva digital picture frames have the ability to receive digital pictures directly from a camera phone. Pretty cool, huh? Well I thought so too. Then I got to thinking about it. Would I really have a desire to buy a digital picture frame?
Personally, I either post my pictures online or archive them to my PC’s hard drive. While I think the technology that allows for this is certainly cool, it just does not motivate me to rush out and buy one. Then again, I am sort of cheap too. ;o)
It’s cool that the Ceiva digital picture frames can now receive pictures directly from your camera phone—putting one of these on someone’s desk and then entertaining them all day with strange pictures sounds highly fun—but you still have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use the frames, since instead of hooking directly up to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, instead use a modem (!?)
