Dually-Coolies!

So, can two fans going at the same time really make that big a difference with PC cooling? Tom’s Hardware says yes and no. For the most part, the Coolermaster Dual Storm does as it promises. But when you look at the noise this little beast produces, it makes you think twice about buying it.

After reading through their review, I came away feeling like that my money might be spent better elsewhere rather than having to shout over the sound of virtual chopper blades every time I turn on my PC. If you are up for keeping the fan on a low setting, then it is alright I suppose.

A major problem with fans is the hotspot at the center. Airflow does not reach the surface in the middle, so the hottest place in a CPU cooler is not cooled properly. A possible solution to this problem comes in the form of fans that receive their power from their outside. However, these are very prone to breakdowns. With its new product, the Dual Storm DF-S81, Coolermaster tries to solve the problem in a different way.
