As PCWorld reports, Sony has every intention of taking Hi-Definition technology by the horns as we hop, skip and tumble further into the 21st century. Sony is coming forward with a variety of cool new HD products and looks like they might become trend setters in the HD arena.
Sony showcased its new lineup of HVX Grand Wega HD TVs, Vaio laptops, and desktops, and DVD recorders. It hopes that some of the products will bolster its brand image abroad, including a 70-inch Grand Wega rear projection TV, aimed at the U.S. HD TV market, and its first high-definition video camcorder, the HDR-FX1.
The 70-inch Grand Wega goes on sale in the U.S. in January 2005. The HDR-FX1 will be in shops worldwide by the end of this year, company representatives say.
