Networked DVD players? Wow, what will they think of next! ExtremeTech reports that Ximeta Inc. is working with I-O Data Device Inc. of Japan to create new types networked peripherals such as DVD players.
“Our corporate strategy has been to bring the home networked storage to the masses,” said Cali Sartor, Ximeta’s manager of product marketing. “Since we started our retail strategy we’ve brought three products to retail, engaging with 23 retailers that are now selling Ximeta products. Worldwide, we now have 17 distributors. Because of that, we’ve received a lot of notoriety.”
