RealPlayer causing wireless network issues on Macs only

If you have a Mac and have recently installed RealPlayer and found that your network connection speed on your computer has slowed to a crawl, the two might be related. This has been popping up quite a bit I am told, someone with a Mac will suddenly find themselves unable to get to websites or access computers on their network while everyone else on the network will be fine. Once the plug their computer directly into their router or modem everything seems fine, but once they go wireless again they find that they can get to one, maybe two websites before things slow to a crawl again. A quick check of their IP address would likely reveal that they are connected to their network and everything would look fine, but yet they would not be able to load a webpage. If this sounds familiar, check your System Preferences and go to Accounts, hi-light your user account and then click on Login Items, if you see RealPlayer Downloader then remove it and restart your computer. Check a few websites and you will likely see that all is well again. Be warned though, once you re-open RealPlayer then this program will come back and you will have the same issue again. Supposedly, RealPlayer has fixed this little glitch with their latest release.
