Today at Microsoft’s E’3 Conference, Microsoft announced that they would be teaming up with Netflix in order to allow Xbox 360 owners to stream movies from Netflix for free. This service is only available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, but considering that’s only $7.99 a month (unless you buy a full year, which make it only about $4 a month) and you get all the benefits of Xbox LIVE, it’s not a bad deal.
The service sadly won’t be available until fall this year. Stream qulity, while unofficial, is expected to be on par with Netflix’s current resolution of DVD quality. In other words, it won’t be hi def. Microsoft has also gone onto say that this service will be EXCLUSIVE for the 360. Sorry PS3 and Wii owners, no love for you.
What do you think? You think you’re gonna use this service? Will this make you pay for a Gold account if you don’t already have one?

I already have the Gold and I’ve been thinking that they should have done this at launch, it would have won the console wars at the start of the conflict saving millions of untold lives. I can’t wait !!! This is an awesome idea, now if only they can make their dashboard a little more easier to navigate. It’s gonna be hard scrolling through a million movies.
