There are ActiveX only utilities out on the market. One that pops into my head immediately is http://www.pcpitstop.com. Another thing that pops into my head is the web browser version of Exchange. It looks completely different when you use any web browser that is Internet Explorer. Of course, you can browse these sites using IETab (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419) which allows you to use Internet Explorer inside any Mozilla web browser.

Everyone (including me) loves to make blanket black and white statements about future trends but the reality is much more grey. Just like vinyl and tape, optical discs may become a smaller market, but they will not go away, they are still by far the most convenient physical media yet. You think printed books and magazines will disappear? Never, but they will become less popular. Apple is a development powerhouse and they will help in the adoption of digitally downloaded movies (it only makes sense) - but they do not have the power to change what people will always want - to collect things and hold them in their little hands…

The device lacks a keyboard. It’s very hard to type on that screen and for that reason alone, corporate America will never adopt the iPhone.

Actually firefox 3 beta4pre gets 67 so firefox is in the lead.

its a scheme steve has been making ever since apple II all the way to the iphone. Apple doesn’t obsess over the customer they simply attack the competitors weak points. plus at macworld he brainwashed all those people to buy like 30 mba’s.

It’s a fad. The computer is not practical for me personally. Can’t change batteries, one USB port, no ethernet, no Optical drive among a slew of other issues. Yes of course its easy to make a notebook thats ultra thin and portable when theres nothing inside!
