Pardon the pun via the headline here, but I have to say SpringWidgets are the coolest thing I have seen when it comes to Web site enhancements I have seen in a while. Maybe it does not reinvent the wheel but it does offer you something new to play with. I am always looking for a new way to push my own content out there into the world, and SpringWidgets does that with style.

My most favorite thing on the Web site that they offer is the RSS reader. Using just a little cut and paste via my own FeedBurner feed I can display my own graphic and content on a number of other Web sites. The RSS reader looks very slick as well. If I tried to do this on my own, I have a feeling it might take me a lifetime to do.

That is not the only widget that they provide though. Sure the RSS reader has gotten the most attention, but you might want to check out the others that they provide as well. The scoreboard and clock widgets look just as nice as the RSS reader.

SpringWidgets is one of the few folks out there doing both desktop and Web widgets. With all these neat tools meshing together, eventually everybody will have to go down this road. I have a feeling down that path though, given some time, SpringWidgets will be a leader and not a follower.
