The first thing any golfer needs to know, if  he/she is playing golf for real or on a virtual course, is how far he/she can expect the ball to travel when hit with each club in the bag.  And how precise can the trajectory be estimated?  And how straight..do you fade, hook, slice? 

If you know how consistent you are you can play any course and know your score on average within a few strokes of your actual score without stepping foot on the real course!
