I like your thinking - but part of the reason that people use the same password over and over - is that they can never remember which one they use for what sites.

But i like what you have done

Neat, sure. Useful, not for learning. You could use it in a decoding algorithm. Make a binary tree with that data as the nodes, but I'm sure there are code libraries to do that for you.

I guarantee you that nobody has learned Morse code from that tree. I had a friend that tried it. He memorized it, wrote it down so he could use it to decode at 5wpm for his old Element 1 ham test, but came up short.

It's too slow. If you really want to learn code fast and easy, check out CodeQuick. I have no affiliation with them, I just love his stuff.

I signed up for TechSay for about a year and I have actually been qualified to complete only 1 survey, the rest (I probably average about 2-3 invitations a month) I have completed a handful of questions and then been told that I do not qualify.

So counting my 50 bonus points that I started with and my 200 point bounty from my one completed survey, I am up to a grand total of 830 points after a year. That adds up to 29 invitations and "do not qualify for this survey notices" to complete 1 actual survey.

At this point however, I think I am driven by the desire to break the 1000 point mark and actually see if I can get a check out of these people.

James, Bob - it sounds like you're both trying to use the NTFS4DOS floppy image instead of following the exact instructions in the article. Use the HP utility to make the thumb drive bootable, then simply copy NTFS4DOS.EXE to the thumb drive. The Geek

same problem as James. if i choose the option to emulate a floppy, the drive is too small to add anything else. if i make the drive emulate a hard drive, i can't load DOS.

here are more detailed instructions, but they didn't work for me either:

While these predictions will have their critics, I think one thing that has started to change in the realm of future technology is the realization that virtually nothing is impossible. Over the past 50 years we've made astronomical achievements which were originally thought impossible or improbable. It's only logical to see that the same thing will happen again.

Also, I think we have a much better understanding of where we are going. It really hasn't actually happened yet, and it hasn't "started" to happen yet, but more and more people, like yourself and also myself, are realizing that computing as we know it is going web-based.

Totally agree Ken - but this can also relate back to your previous energy saving points. There are a number of anti-spam programs around that can combat the vast amount of spam thrown at us on a daily basis but we need to prevent the problem rather than finding method to trying to find a cure for it.

I was curious if you could use it as an everyday PC too. So I ordered one a few months ago and I have been using it ever since. It's not perfect but I've been pleased how little I use my "big" desktop PC now at home.

In fact, since then, I've given one to an employee at work who isn't that tech savvy and she uses it every day for online work. I also put one in our lobby to let random customers use it without explanation. Works great for web browsing.

I've been blogging about my experiences with the Zonbu over the last three months, as well as observations about areas for improvement and business strategy ideas. You can read the blog here: http://mrzonbu.wordpress.com/
