Learn Morse Code Easily

Yes, Hams are Geek, too! Here is a very cool tool for learning Morse Code or refreshing your memory if, like me, you’re so rusty you squeak. Learn Morse Code is a neat tree built upon the structure of Morse Code sounds. You listen to the code and follow along the tree with your pencil.

It’s simple to use: you put your pencil on Start; if you hear a dah, move your pencil down and to the left; if you hear a dit, move your pencil down and to the right. When the character’s sound is finished, your pencil will be resting on the correct letter or number.

Some of the special characters and symbols aren’t listed, but most of those are just combinations of the letters and numbers anyway. And the site offers hours of MP3 practice code for you to download.

Cheers!

Neat, sure. Useful, not for learning. You could use it in a decoding algorithm. Make a binary tree with that data as the nodes, but I’m sure there are code libraries to do that for you.

I guarantee you that nobody has learned Morse code from that tree. I had a friend that tried it. He memorized it, wrote it down so he could use it to decode at 5wpm for his old Element 1 ham test, but came up short.

It’s too slow. If you really want to learn code fast and easy, check out CodeQuick. I have no affiliation with them, I just love his stuff.
