Footy11.com has launched the free beta of its Web-based MMO soccer management game. Its features:

Purely browser-based
Realistic match engine, with hundreds of subtle effects accurately modelled (injuries, tiredness, player form, weather effects, thousands of tactical variations etc). Teams perform as per the characteristics of their players and the tactics and skills/preferences of their manager
Carry out all the tasks of a real football manager, including training, scouting, transfers and keeping your players happy. Advanced AI deals with all the tasks that a time-poor manager might wish to ignore
Database includes tens of thousands of football players and thousands of clubs
Massively multiplayer: highly-scalable architecture enables many thousands of managers to play against each other
In-game incentives for managers to submit online their opinion about players and club. Game database updated daily, using automated algorithms and including cheat-checking code
Deep and long-term RPG-style avatar-based character development
All critical game features available to free-to-play managers. Advanced features and other in-game benefits available only to subscribers (99p per month)
Income expected to also derive from on-site advertising and direct sponsorship
Core market expected to be existing customers of Football Manager/Championship Manager who want an additional challenge vs real managers and something accessible from a browser (e.g. while at work). Secondary market expected to be general football fans attracted by the social-side of the site, as well as the millions who currently play Fantasy Football games
Site currently in the early stages of commercialisation but all critical game features fully operational
Advanced social-networking features currently in development, including UI for mobile/iPhone/Twitter/Facebook interactivity
