iPhone App Lets Gamers Keep Up With Xbox 360 Friends

The 1337pwn team has released a follow up to their successful “Xbox Live Friends” iPhone/iPod Touch application called “iNXES.” The new application mimics the Xbox 360’s New Xbox Experience (NXE), which now graces every 360 console that’s connected to the Internet.

The new touchscreen, gesture-based iteration of the application is very similar to 1337pwn’s first app, Xbox Live Friends. With iNXES you can see the status of your friends on Xbox Live, view their profile, gamerscore and see which games have been played on their console. You can even send messages to friends on Xbox Live through an imbedded shortcut to Xbox.com.

iNXES also lets gamers see which games are the most played on Xbox Live.

One of the neatest things about the application is that you can force a manual refresh by shaking the device. But the iNXES does support automatic refreshes while its running.

Gamers will need to either add all of their friends list manually or by using 1337pwn gamertag import utility found here.

Currently, version 1.1 of iNXES (661 KB) is available for free in the Apple App Store.
