Sure, StarCraft’s been out for years, and StarCraft II is on its way. Still, it’s always fun to revisit this old gem and keep in good form while we wait for the new one. Trevmister8 writes:
Well, this isn’t exactly a top 5, but here are a few random tips that may help with the game StarCraft and the expansion Brood War.
- Don’t cheat your way through the campaign. It will not help you in the game at all if you want to play multiplayer at any point. In fact, it will make you WORSE. I learned this the hard way.
- When going online try not to pick a name too “noobish” or act like a complete noob. It may get you banned from future games or, if still in the lobby for the game, banned from that game.
- Don’t do stupid things like massing Firebats or Zerglings or Zealots if the opponent has air, because these units cannot attack air and will die in a very short amount of time.
- Try your best to avoid Zerg against Zerg games, because normally it is just a race to see who can mass the most units in a short amount of time or who can get better units faster.
- Lastly, you should try to start off in comp stomp games just to get used to battle.net and work your way up.
