I am not going to debate which is the better system, but if you want to say that the 360 is so much better than the PS3 you really should give valid reasons.
Number 5, the HD drive costs extra but the PS3 comes with a Blue ray Drive. Which the games can use where the HD drive on the 360 is optional so the games can’t take full advantage of the extra data space.
Number 4, the HDMI cable is a whopping $5
Number 3, the Hard drive is an extra component so the games really can’t take full advantage of it since they have to code to people that don’t have the hard drive. As for $50 cheaper, it isn’t once you and the HD DVD player (it is now more expensive)
Number 2, Awesome games are based entirely on personal preference. Of course the 360 has more games since it has been out of a year longer then the PS3. Odds are the PS3 will catch up and pass the 360 since the ps2 was always way ahead of the xbox. But that is just a time will tell item.
Number 1, Xbox live. I am sure it is better than the PlayStation online, but it had better be since you have to pay a monthly fee, that you don’t with the PS3, again making the 360 MUCH more expensive over time.
Personally I like both systems, but I can’t stand it when someone has to be a fan boy and completely misrepresent the facts. There are arguments in favor of both systems. If you want to promote the 360 then use valid arguments.

I like my elite as well, BUT reason 5 negates the second half of reason 3. A cable for reason 4 is hardly anything worth mentioning. Reason 2 is subjective. But I completely agree with reason 1 and to the first half of reason 3.

i find every single one of these answers to be true statistical facts, except number 5; PS3’s online service is free, while xbox live costs money. Hell, even the steam/EA downloader is free. i cant believe xbox would charge money for things you could otherwise get for free.

PS3 allows you to use any size hard drive as long as it is a SATA hard drive, Xbox doesn’t allow you to upgrade except to their proprietary sizes.

Finally my closing statement. PS3 has less of a percentage of hardware failure compared to Xbox.

First of all the Ps3 sucks. Second of all I have heard alot of this crap about paying a monthly fee on the xbox. I pay 1 yearly price of 50$ which is not that much. Thirdly The Ps3 games suck. There are no good games on it and the only good games are already on 360 so why not just get a 360. Foruth nobody gives a CRAP about that gay blue-ray. Fifth the Ps3 tryed to copy the xbox live. I have heard alot about this “Ps3 live is free” well thats only half true. For some games you have to pay a seperate monthly fee which is more expensive than the xbox live which is 50$ a YEAR! Xbox rocks Ps3 SUCKS so just get over it and by an xbox.

And another thing, People are saying that the Ps3 is better because you can watch you-tube on it. Well i have a bit of a news flash for you, YOU CAN WATCH MOVIES AND TV SHOWS ON THE XBOX TO!!!!! Theres also a little thing called the marketplace which allows you to get movies, tv shows, arcade games, game demos, trailers, pictures packs, themes, and much more. Not to mention that there is downloadable content for just about every game. So just try to compete with that. The Ps3 is just a piece of crap system that tryed to copy things from all the other systems and failed. I even have examples. They TRIED to copy Live from the xbox, and they copied the motion sensitive controller from the wii and they failed miserablly.

I think the 2 systems ps3 and xbox360 are similar in ways . the problem i have with the ps3 is now you have to install files to the hd to play games ect like devil my cry 4 ! seems silly to my .
next point xbox live gold is not free but i find this great for playing games with people all round the world. ive not heard anything on online playing with the ps3.

Well the Ps3 onlne play will probably suck anyways. It has no good games for online. But your right, the Xbox Live is not free but i pay a small 50$ a year and come on thats not much at all.

I am so tired of hearing about the price of xbox live. 50 bucks come on if you cant aford that for the best online gaming and video around. Plain and simple you are poor! What are you doing with a next gen console. the games for the most part are 50 or 60 bucks anyway.You need to focus on more important things like food and shelter come on!

1. first of all the ps3 why would you care about xbox gay ass hd when everybody started supporting bluray only and stopped supporting hd so there are no more hd dvds
2. xbox might have a hdmi cable but that still doesnt change the fact that its graphics only go to 720p xbox graphics all look the same so thats why they just changes frame rate (but ps3 comes with 1080p graphics which are a lot better then 1080i or 720

Hdmi on the ps3 is 1.3 which allows for 7.1 audio whereas for xbox it is 1.2 so max 5.1 audio. Hey John it is funny you are tired about xboxlive costing $50 I am tired of people saying the ps3 is so expensive, $50 diff between elite and 80gb and $50 between 40gb and premium. And joel marketplace does have tv shows but once again they are not free.

The funny thing about your downloads is that the arcade cant get them, and the 20gb you can have a max of 3 movies on the hard drive.
4) Upgradable hard drive, I can get a 500gb hard drive install it 5 minutes all for less than $100.
5) Life span. MIcrosoft is notorious for abandoning their products. Need an example how about vista they are already making windows 7, and it has been less than 2 years. I will be surprised if they keep the 360 after 2010. But sony continues to support the ps2 and the ps2 is in its eighth year.

If I may make some counter-arguments toward your list. Let me just say how subjective your argument was - almost entirely. You made some relevant points; but overall, you just rambled on about your personal opinions and tried to pass it as objectional truth. True, this isn’t a master’s thesis for science; but to try and debate with personal opinion is nothing but ridiculous. Also, the stats that you present are extreme and biased. XBOX arcade $280?? I assume this is for every single XBOX arcade title, correct? Well, that figure is completely irrelevant if you are speaking of necessary (or unnecessary) hardware. I’m fairly certain there a very few, if any, XBL users that want, or care to play, all of the arcade titles. I guess that was the only way to raise your price above the price of your PS3. Understandable as I see you wouldn’t want to make the XBOX 360 look like a better deal. Ok, lets go…

-Notorious? What’s your source? As far as I, and other XBOX owners, am concerned Microsoft has been nothing but understanding and helpful with their products. Seeing as Microsoft has spent over $1 billion on support for the xbox 360 for 2007 alone, it’s hard to believe that they have “abandoned” their product.

-Cheaper as in cost of what? Why include the price of XBL and arcade? Those aren’t required like a HDMI cable. Why don’t you just include the prices of every game available while you’re at it - that would make just as much sense. The power supply issue seems arbitrary to me, but that’s my personal opinion.

First off the ps3 has a built in blu-ray play which destroys the external hd player. Secondly the HDMI cable isnt expensive at all and the cable barely improve the sucky quality of the 360’s graphics. Third the elite’s 120 gb hard drive is external, and you would have to be a no life loser to use all of that memory. I have had my 60 gb ps3 for a year and a half and havent even used 1/4 of its memory. Fourth the fifty dollars cheaper doesnt include the price of the external hd player and the xbox live. With all those things added it make the elite the same price or even more expensive. Fifth halo is mediocre and bioshock is being released for ps3. Now im not saying that the ps3 is better than the 360 im just saying your reasons really suck. I personally think that the systems are equall.
