Top 5 Nintendo Wii Holiday Buys

It might be the 26th of December, but the season for gift-giving (or well-deserved, post-holiday self-indulgence) never really ends. Here are some tips that Gnomie Chris Ellis has for us Wii fanatics:
5. Component A/V Cables - if you have an HDTV, you will need to pick up the component RCA cables. The reason this product didn’t rank higher is because the Wii sadly only supports 480p.
4. 36-pack Rayovac AA Batteries - ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTIONS! The Wii’s remotes will eat batteries faster than your dear grandfather eats pie on Christmas morning. You may be inclined to go with rechargeable; DO NOT! The Wii will drain them even faster after the recharge!
3. Wii Points - If you are a classic gamer, and enjoy going back to the old times of the NES, points are a gift for you. One Wii point is equivalent to one cent. Wii points are sold in 2000 point cards at major dealers, or available via the Wii shop in 500 point values.
2. nYko Wireless Sensor Bar - Rid yourself of that obnoxiously long sensor bar cord with a wireless one. The only con on the bar is it’s 4 AA batteries. (That’s what the Rayovacs are for, though!)
1. WiiPlay! - If you are yet to buy the WiiPlay package, you are really missing out. Not only do you get 9 mini games that test your skill with the WiiMote, but you also recieve a WiiMote (retail $40 by itself) for $50.
