GOA today announced that more than 300,000 players have signed up for the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) closed beta test. In little more than a month, EA Mythic’s highly-anticipated Warhammer Online has amassed a growing army of willing participants in Europe and North America, making the beta one of the most popular in massively multiplayer gaming history.
Poised to be one of the biggest PC game releases of 2008, WAR is slated for official launch in early 2008. The Beta Center is still open and accepting applications.

Just tried to register and I get a message that “this country is not authorized”. The United States is not authorized! Now I could understand if the quota for the U.S. is filled, but not being authorized! Of course, the could have taken their inspiration for writing error messages from Microsoft.

Too bad GOA is publishing the game for Europe. Although they barely managed to pull of Dark Age of Camelot in the EU, Mythic gave them the license. GOA is not a company famed for their experience in customer care or product knowledge.
