The History Channel Great Battles Of Rome For PSP Out Now

This June, leading videogame developers Black Bean Games and Slitherine Software have partnered with The History Channel to jointly storm international gaming communities with the highly anticipated videogame The History Channel Great Battles of Rome, whose PSP version will be In Stores Now!

The opening salvo in the campaign launched May 28, with "Rome Week," which aired on The History Channel. Featuring an entire week of programming dedicated to Roman history, the programming stunt included a spectacular and strategic deployment of television spots (which aired during day part and prime-time slots), as well as placement on The History Channel branded billboards.

Faithfully re-creating the military strategies for over 100 battles which determined the course of history, The History Channel Great Battles of Rome allows players to take an active part in the creation of the Roman Empire. From the early struggles of a small village to the glorious campaign for the Empire, players controlling massive armies (with an incredible array of soldiers, legionaries, archers, cavalry and war elephants) will experience a unique mix of realistic gameplay and 3D special effects in a variety of environments and stunning video footage from The History Channel. Plus, thanks to the multiplayer features, players will have the opportunity to perfect their military strategies while battling against each other!

The History Channel Great Battles of Rome is available on PlayStation2, PSP (PlayStationPortable) and PC DVD.
