GlobalFun Develops Mobile Content With [adult swim]

GlobalFun, a wireless entertainment development and publishing company, and [adult swim] irreverent comedy animation from Turner Broadcasting System, have today made official their decision to team up to develop mobile games.

The deal sees GlobalFun developing a mobile game based on the [adult swim] programme “The Brak Show.” The mobile game is a sim/social type of game in the vein of The Sims and contains well known elements and characters from the popular show. GlobalFun will also, for certain selected markets, distribute the title to its carrier and B2C.

“The Brak Show is one of [adult swim]’s leading programmes and we believe this show can work well on mobile. GlobalFun have done a fantastic job translating the spirit of the show to a mobile platform which will complement [adult swim] distribution” commented Alan Musa [adult swim] Channel Manager.

“The properties of Turner and the way the creative process is being approached suits us very well as a game development company. We see this as a solid first step in our future dealings with Turner both from development and distribution point of view” commented Marcus Johansson, CEO of GlobalFun.
