One Year Gone, Still One Life Left

It’s hard to believe, but The Internet’s Favourite Videogame Radio Show One Life Left is one year old. The anniversary marks another milestone for the hour-long programme which has gone from strength to strength over the last 365 days, launching a number-one rated iTunes podcast and earning positive coverage from the broad spectrum (lol) of games media.

The show archives can be found on the team’s Web site. A second year of videogame mayhem was heralded with a new feature last night, taking a look at online dating in Second Life.

One Life Left’s content is original and unique to the show, produced completely from scratch by a host of famous and not-quite-famous-yet contributors. Fans look forward every week to cookery with Ms Snacman, tips with Odds On OD, Simon Byron’s As Seen On TV, David McCarthy’s reviews, poetry, fan fiction, and more.

“We consider it a really great victory for fans of time. Time and good radio,” splutters co-host Robert Howells, in between mouthfuls of Ms Snacman’s lovingly prepared birthday cake.

“And videogames?” suggests his audio partner, Ste Curran, “Isn’t it a victory for videogames?”

“What are videogames?” replies news fox Ann Scantlebury.

We’re not even joking: visit here to hear a new, exclusive run down of the top five things Scanters still doesn’t know after a year of bleeding-edge games reportage. See you!
