Today’s featured game features insects. Normally this wouldn’t be a heartening statement, but the crawlies in this game are nice insects. Well they’re nice if you happen to like ladybugs that shoot webs.
The name of the game is Spider Bugs. The object of this game is to connect similarly colored lady-bugs by discharging their web-shooting rumps to gain points click on a parading bug and drag him around until his fanny is aimed at another bug of the same color. Release and a silky web will project from your selected insectoid wrapping the other in a cocoon.
As the levels progress more lady-bugs of different colors will parade about the screen making shots more difficult. If you miss a shot your life meter will be depleted.
The bugs in Spider Bugs look great and the gameplay will give you a full helping of relaxing sport. “Colorful” and “clever” were the first words we thought of to describe this game. “Disturbing” came next, followed by a volley of questions intended to help us understand why ladybugs would shoot cocooning webs at their brethren.
