This sort of chromatic eviction has been done many times, but Halloween Pumpkins offers a slightly different style of gameplay. Instead of playing vertically like in similar games, you play this game horizontally. Pause for gasps of shock and disbelief from readers. It’s true. New hued pumpkins will appear on each side of the screen where they will await your decision on where they should be placed. If you choose well, many pumpkins will vanish and your score will rise.

Power-ups, in the form of skulls and bones, will stop in from time to time to give aid and comfort. The skulls will destroy all pumpkins of the same color it first hits. The bone will clear a row. Working against your goal of total pumpkin elimination is an opposing bit of code which will add pumpkins to the pile at random times while you’re playing.

Halloween Pumpkins is a full-sized candy bar of arcade goodness. The graphics are simple, but the gameplay is satisfying.
