Grain Strain

  • No Related Post

Today’s game is designed to strain your brain with grain. Its title also rhymes just as well as we do. In Grain Strain you set up conveyers, funnels, and ramps to guide little yellow grains into a bucket. The faster you can set up your contraptions to collect the grain, the more points you’ll receive. Just click and drag the widgets into the path of the falling grain to guide them into the bucket.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to collect at least forty grains to move on to the next level. Don’t be surprised when the levels get more challenging as the game progresses. Because we just warned you. Overall, this is a decent game. The ability to experiment and groovy techno music are what appealed to us the most. However, Grain Strain could use a little tweaking to make it a great game. For one thing the edge detection wasn’t as slick as it should be. The grains didn’t seem to know precisely where the edges of the contraptions were. Also, errant grains would fall from odd places. This doesn’t mean that the game isn’t playable - far from it. In fact, Grain Strain left us wanting more. More widgets and more levels.
