Oh, what an exciting time to be in The Saga of Ryzom!

Outposts are here and they are a sight to behold! The giant drills boring away into the land as they churn out experience crystals, special materials, and consumables. A much sought after property for any guild to own.

So here’s how they work:

A guild decides on an outpost they’d like to own and declare war on it via the war banner at the outpost. War declaration costs the guild, but the prices depend on the level of the outpost. Prices matter not though, if a guild wants to hold this precious resource.

So, once the war declaration is set and the time decided for the attack, the tension and planning begins. There are two phases to an outpost attack. The first is an attack phase, in which the owners defend with friends and hired mercenary NPCs. The second phase, if the attack was successful, is a defence phase where the new owners must protect their newly acquired property from the previous owners who want their land back.

These attack and defence phases can be tense times. Allies and friendships are called on and everyone must work together, on both sides, if they are to succeed.
