The worldwide growth of the mobile gaming market is said to have exceeded expectations. Industry watchers expect the games download revenues to reach the £7-billion mark by 2010, when the mobile handset growth is envisaged at over two billion.

The mobile games sector is dominated by specialist players, unlike the console or PC gaming markets.
