Gaming Life in Japan

Not too long back, Robert Scoble made note of my skepticism in regard to the Xbox 360. Well Robert, I am ready to eat some crow I think. Unlike the previous model and even with the quirks seen early on, the games and graphics are nothing short of outstanding. In short, I don’t believe Japan will shun this system away…even with it making an appearance in what some might call ‘Sony-land’.

Gaming Life in Japan took a couple of weeks off for the Xbox 360 launch (although if you were paying attention, you might have noticed a mini GLiJ at IGN Xbox 360 just prior to the launch featuring ads, magazine covers and retail pics). Yes, Microsoft actually managed to do the previously unmanageable: release a game console near simultaneously in three major territories. Even better, Peter Moore didn’t look at all tired when he made it into Japan for the last leg of the system’s launch.
